Account & Data Deletion
Last updated 25 August 2026
You can ask us to delete your Daksh account and the data associated with it at any time. Requests are handled by Ceramic Academy staff.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to hr@ceramicacademy.in from the email address registered to your Daksh account.
- Use the subject line Daksh account deletion request and include your full name as it appears in the app.
- We will confirm your identity and process the request within 30 days, then email you when it is complete.
Open a pre-filled deletion request email
We must receive the request from your registered email address so we can be sure the account belongs to you.
What gets deleted
When your request is processed, we remove:
- Your sign-in account and authentication record.
- Your profile — name, email, phone number, and profile photo.
- Your study sessions, daily and weekly totals, tasks, calendar events, and day-off markers.
- Your saved notification and device records.
- Your assignment submissions and uploaded files.
What may be retained
Some records are not removed by an account deletion, because they form part of another person's record or of the institute's academic history:
- Group chat messages you posted remain visible to the group as part of its conversation history. You can delete your own messages yourself from within the app before requesting account deletion.
- Mentor feedback you submitted is already stored without your identity attached and cannot be traced back to you to remove individually.
- Records Ceramic Academy is required to keep for academic, accounting, or legal reasons, retained only for as long as required.
Deleting only some data
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove certain information. From the app you can clear your profile photo and phone number on the Profile screen, and delete your own chat messages by long-pressing them. If you want something else removed but want to keep your account, say so in your email.
